The sand setter. I didn't breed for her, hence the lack of slack off in her moveset but she still functions well as a tank without it. I have an extra attacking move with ice fang instead which is a decent option to have since my swampert tends to be rather squishy against the stronger dragon types that are weak to its ice punch. Argonaut's bulk also comes in handy whenever I feel like double earthquaking, whenever Flygon is on the field, with little risk. Yawn also comes in handy when I can't immediately deal with a threat without setting up, Compliments my stratergies with Scizor well.
Physical attacking Flygon build. Lum berry is there for outrage and in case he's hit by any other status move. Always send out the duo of this fella and argonaut first. Since it's an all out attacker and faster than most things, I tend to use it as as a pivot into scizor, if it looks like it'll get OHKO'd. Outrage is a bit risky in doubles since it targets a random mon but I have yet to be duped by it. I think I could've gone a for a special attacking set instead, since this team lacks any special attacking presence whatsoever. It would also prevent unnecesary chip on teammates since I'd be running earth power instead. Anyway, I opted for Flygon instead of garchomp mostly because of it's use as a decent pivoting mon in doubles format and because Flygon lives in its shadow.
Kinda just slapped this dude on the team since between him and a substitute Empoleon set, he seemed more useful for this format. This fella is probably the weakest performer of the group, not bad but his purpose kinda comes down to, dealing with fire types and rock/ground if there are no grass types on the field. I would say he functions a good switch in from Scizor but most faster fire types run solar beam and tend to to have a sun setter aorund as well.
MVP of the team, no question about it. I caught this dude during one of the bug catching contests and it had good IVs so I brought her along. Serves as an almost always positive switch due to her typing and only fears fire types, which anyone else on the team can handle pretty well. Argonaut's yawn helps setup situations to swords dance and proceed with a sweep. Reliable strat for when I'm up against stuff my other 2 attackers can't deal with. I don't find myself using roost too often since the sitrus berry usually gives her enough longevity to setup against stronger neutral damage hits. Since she's a swords dancer it might have been better to breed and get +defense nature but as it stands now she does her job well enough.
