Shiny Pokemon Showcase

A showcase of the shiny pokemon I've found across the years and by years I mostly mean 2025 since I only seriously attempted hunts this year.
I don't really have a history of shiny hunting outside of 2025, before then I only found a few random shinies on old saves that I no longer have.
Nowadays I mostly play the ds games (Plat, SS & W2) so most of my shinies will come from that era until I decide to revisit other games.

Nickname:
Game: Soul Silver
Method: event

Only putting this fella here since I used him in my last Soul Silver playthrough along with an Espeon from the gift Eevee, so they were a sorta special duo.

Delcatty
Nickname:
Game:White 2
Method: Random

Found this shiny a very very long time ago in white 2. I was probably looking for an Eevee to catch in the Castellia garden place and found it there.

Togekiss
Nickname: Tamago
Game: Platinum
Method: Radar

The one and only shiny Togekiss of mine. Togekiss is my favourite pokemon and I almost always use it if given the opportunity. This was my first shiny hunt and even though it was with radar I still flipped out when I saw that shiny. I wasn't even confident that I saw the shiny patch so in the moment I had no idea if i had just broken the chain that I had built up. Ultimately this shiny signited the flame for future hunts.

Gardevoir
Nickname: Yuri
Game: Platinum
Method:Radar

Honestly not much of a tale behind this fella besides the usual radar stuff. It did lead to me farming lucky eggs when I realised I could so so by chaining chansey. Wasn't particularly picky on whether I would be able to get Gallade or not but a shiny Gardevoir is nice nonetheless. Named after Cure Moonlight, no the genre.

Azumarill
Nickname: Moss
Game: Platinum
Method: Radar

Would've been cool if it kept the mint green from marill's shiny but oh well. Got lucky with this one having huge power. Again, not much to say as this is just a radar hunt. Named after guy who helped me with the dns exploit many years ago.

Jumpluff
Nickname: Soyokaze (そよ風)
Game: Platinum
Method: Radar

I like Jumpluff. It's not very good in anything other than maybe using status moves and being kinda fast but its cute and I like that. I remember the chains for this one being kinda tedious but thats par for the course with the radar every now and then.

Nickname: Yanis
Game: Platinum
Method: Radar

Pokemon mystery dungeon eos partner name. Might use for contest completion.

Shaymin
Nickname: Mint
Game: Platinum
Method: Full odds (Approximately 1000+ SRs)

This fella is a significant one. First raw shiny hunt, soft resetting in front of flower paradise Shaymin. Man this was kind of a funny one. During this hunt I had to take the long freaking path back to the pokemon center a few times due to not being prepared and wanting to use synchronise for modest nature. Further down the line I had given up on the hunt and just wanted one with good IVs. But eventually I saw that toothpaste colored bush and flipped my shit. This is my first successful, traditional full odds shiny hunt and I will cherish Shaymin forever lol.

Uxie
Nickname: Fukigen (不機嫌)
Game: White 2
Method: Soft reset + Shiny charm (Approximately 300+ SRs)

Settled on this being my first shiny hunt after completeing the pokedex in white 2. Getting this one so early into attempts definitely spoiled me in regards to my expectations of hunting with the shiny charm

Volcorona
Nickname: Itsuki
Game: White 2
Method: Masuda (2500+ eggs)

This was my first 'grueling' shiny hunt. Riding the high of catching Uxie, I thought I could easily churn out another shiny in a day or two using a method with even higher odds, but little did I know how wrong I was.
Even though it's well under full odds and, relatively, didn't take that long, this hunt sure did humble but I'm glad I saw it through despite wanting to give up.

Blissey
Nickname: Amour
Game: Platinum
Method: Radar

Nothing much to say here, got a good amount of lucky eggs from this hunt.

Vaporeon
Nickname: Merry
Game:Platinum
Method: Radar

Involved a bit of soft resetting with the garden guy. Was considering evolving into Glaceon but decided on Vaporeon since I already had a Glaceon form the main pplaythrough

Staraptor
Nickname: Hawkeye
Game: Platinum
Method: Radar

Named after Riza Hawkeye from FMA. Just another radar hunt, an especially easy one at that.

Celfairy
Nickname: Tsukikage
Game: Platinum
Method: Radar

Another garden radar hunt. Named after Cure Moonlight, along with my Gardevoir. I like how versatile Clefairy is in regards to it's moveset, I always found it useful and cool for that.

Salamence
Nickname: Dorcas
Game: Platinum
Method: Radar

This one was kind of annoying since it kept burning my scizor. I remember this being one of the few radar pokemon I went out of my way to get as a kid. I don't recall using the radar for anything else back then.

Palkia
Nickname: Roxa
Game: Platinum
Method: Full odds (around 200 SRs)

This one was kind of insane for full odds. 200 resets and just a day of hunting. My total encounters for all the full odds hunts I had done probably hadn't reached 8000 yet so I'm bvery grateful for this one. Had an adamant nature so giving a physical moveset was pretty interesting.

Nickname:
Game: White 2
Method: random encounter

This one popped out to me whilst I was just biking around the Virbank Complex. Surprised the hell out of me as one would expect and I'm happy that it turned out to be a Growlithe out of all the encounters in that area.
